Do You Own Your Desires?

I didn't know that it was realistic to cultivate my own desires until I worked with a Life Coach in my mid-20’s.  My Life Coach helped me make a considerable perspective shift from thinking I didn’t know my own genuine desires to realizing that I did actually know what I wanted.  It was a freeing experience to understand that I actually did have desires that I was ignoring and that these desires would actually help me live a more fulfilling life.  It was one of the most empowering feelings of my life to let myself want what I wanted without concern for external pressures or opinions.

The Centering Board process encourages you to focus on how you want to feel to live your best life.  In our Centering Board kits and instruction video, we coach you and provide questions to help you choose a word that inspires you to live the life you want.  It sometimes takes a deeper level of coaching to discover your true desires though.  I know this from my own experience.  As a young adult, it didn’t occur to me that it was actually productive to have, let alone honor, my own desires.  I grew up with parents that didn’t really hold space for dreams or desires because they thought these concepts were not consistent with the “real world”.

“The Desire Map” by Danielle Laporte is a book and process that both Trevor and I have used to determine our core desired feelings, which summarize how we want to feel and guide us in all of our decision making.  Danielle Laporte has created a licensed facilitator program based on her book and I am now a Desire Map Facilitator.  I will soon be offering Desire Map workshops and coaching to provide a deeper dive into discovering your true desires and creating goals with soul.  These workshops will be a compliment to Centering Boards and provide more coaching support for those who want to go deeper and receive dedicated support from me.  I will provide more information next month regarding virtual workshops and coaching details.

Well wishes,

Sara
