Spring Tune-Up

The blooming energy of springtime is so invigorating.  The Cherry Blossoms are blooming in our neighborhood and there are new buds everywhere.  It’s so joyful to see all the new life emerging!  

 

Embracing the joy of springtime brings so much hope in a time when we really need it.  We’re all overwhelmed and tired with pandemic life, but I’m hopeful that the world is moving towards healing and reinvigoration.     

 

I’m also using the energy of springtime to revitalize my self-care routines because my anxiety has been creeping up on me.  I’ve had to make a conscious and loving effort to better support myself these days.  

 

Here are 5 tips to help give yourself extra nurturing self-care.

 

  • Breath breaks - take a conscious breathing break every waking hour of your day, schedule hourly reminders to take 3 fully belly breaths

  • Get outside everyday - sit outside or take a walk to focus on the natural world around you and get out of your head

  • Move your body - stretch, dance party, just do whatever fun movement you want to notice how your body feels

  • Massage - give yourself a massage with coconut oil before your shower or bath

  • Schedule fun time - prioritize time to laugh and play


All of these little things that we do each day to take care of ourselves help us better get through tough times. Keep being gentle and taking tender care of yourselves.
