We've Moved!
Deep breath. It's February 2021, wow. It feels like we've been through a whirlwind since I sent our last newsletter. At that point, we were listing our house for sale and then things moved very quickly. We sold our house and made a big move from Colorado to Washington… during a pandemic. The move was logistically and emotionally difficult. It is also an exciting new adventure.
We wanted to move closer to the ocean and it is an absolute joy to be so close now. We love exploring the beach and learning about sea life. We love the trees and all of the abundant and vibrant green plants. The rain and milder temperatures are especially welcoming to us right now.
However, we also moved away from our friends and extended family. We moved to a new state where we don’t know anyone and we moved during a time when meeting new people and engaging with a new community is limited.
So much joy and possibility and also sadness and loneliness.
We’re still trying to organize our new space and Trevor is just starting to setup his workshop for Centering Boards. Moving in and setting up the workshop are taking much longer than we thought so we’re choosing to be extra compassionate with ourselves right now. We need more time to get settled and that’s okay.
We’re all doing the best that we can and that’s enough.
Everyone benefits from some extra love and compassion, especially when things don’t go as planned. We humans have a knack for beating ourselves up when we’re not meeting expectations and all the pushing and punishing just increases the suffering.
Be gentle with yourself. Rest and nurture yourself. Choose ease for yourself. Show yourself the love that you would give a child or a dear loved one/friend. We’re all made of the same elements and we all share the same planet.
May we be happy.
May we be healthy.
May we be free of suffering.
May we be free of mental anxiety.
May we live in peace.
May our lives be blessed with ease.
